In Kingdom of The Sun and The Moon, celebration was held for 7 days and 7 nights because The Wonderful King of Sun just welcomed his Brightful Princes that he names Stars. The Beautiful Queen of Moon was so happy with the princes that she decided that she would like to become a stay-at-home mom. From that moment on, The Kingdom was known as the Kingdom of Never-Ending-Day.

Animals from all over the kingdom come to enjoy the celebration and to wish their well-wishes to the Princes. As 1 day in Never-Ending-Day equals to 100 years in human world, citizens of Never-Ending-Day starts to forget about the beauty of the night, and soon, they started to boast among themselves, their beauty under the Glistening rays of The King while offering their wishes to the Royal-Light family.

Peacock the fan-shop owner said, "Behold, (at this time, fanning out his colorful tails to the awe of the Royal-Light family and the guests) I wish Royal-Princes will be ever so beautiful and silky shiny as my tails under the Light of The Majestic King of the Sun"

Lion the barber said, while combing his smooth and shiny mane, "I wish the Royal Princes to have the smoothes and shinies hair, like mine, that when the Royal-Ray of our Majesty the King shines upon them, it will reflect out the golden bright light"

Monkey, the gymnast said, "My wish will be that the Royal Princes will be as sporty and as active like me under you, My Royal-Light King"

One by one, the animals gave our their wishes and the last came The Fire-Fly. When he was in front of the Royal-Light family, he still couldn't think of anything to say. The Ever-so-Bright Sun then said to him "Please, my dear Fire-Fly, surely you have something to wish my beloved Princes, don't you?" Fire-Fly scracthed his head, and his eyes wondered around and at this time, his gaze fell upon The Serene-Queen of the Moon. Then he smiled, "Your Majesties, please let me offer you my well-wishes, as The Princes are also the sons of the Queen of the Night, I wish that they could shine prettily and be a guidance to everyone when darkness falls."

As Fire-Fly finished, laughter roared and shook the whole Celebration halls, everybody thought that his wish was the worst of all, since this is The Never-Ending-Light Kingdom, who will say such a stupid things? Darkness will never come, The King will always shine. At this time, The Queen stood up, she took Fire-Fly's hand and said "Who said that darkness will never fall, all of you foolish creature? Life has to be in balance, Light will only be beautiful when there's darkness, Darkness will be bearable when Light comes. I think Fire-Fly wishes a very good wish" But Fire-Fly was sad, he felt that he was not useful to the Kingdom and quietly flew away.

On the Seven day of the celebration, The Queen whispered to The King, "My King, please do allow me to share with you the burden of your work, I shall now return to guarding the Kingdom while you rest". The King smiled brightly and said "Very well, My Queen, now we can show our Princes and the whole kingdom, how Light and Darkness show the best of each other"

So on that day, Night falls for the first time in so long, all animals were afraid, Peacock squeeked when he couldn't see his own tails, Lions roared and couldn't find his comb, Monkey fell down while swinging to the Celebration hall.

But suddenly, something shiny came out from the bushes, first it was dim, but overtime, it became so shiny that it could guide all the animal to the Celebration hall.

Arriving at the Celebration Hall, The Queen said, "Now have you see what I meant, my beloved citizens? Isn't Fire-Fly wished my Princes a good wish?" All animals shyly nodded their heads. Under the Silvery Light of the Queen, Fire-Fly chriped happily and whispered to the Queen, "Thank you".

Faith is like fire-fly lights, you might not see it when brightness of the life blinded you and skewed you away from your path, but when you are in the dark, it might be able to guide you back to the right path.

A Key to your Heart

In one warm blacksmith shop, a beautiful small Heart Lock was forged. At the very same time, the blacksmith also created a matchingly beautiful Key for the lock. He inscribed "Love" on the Heart Lock and "Forever" to the Key. When the both of them have been polished clean and shiny, the blacksmith smiled and said " It's a perfect couple"

One beautiful day in the Spring, the blacksmith was approached by one loving couple. They purchased the lock and the key as a token of their love. The gentleman agreed to hold on to the key while the lady hold on to the lock.

Then came the war, the lady locked Heart-Lock on her gold necklace and the gentleman strung a golden necklace to The Key and wore it around his neck touching his heart. As the lady boarded the train, they embraced tightly, its the only chance for Heart Lock and Key to whisper softly their promises to each other. "I will wait for you Forever" Heart Lock said to Key, " And Love I will come to you".

Years passed by, Heart Lock waited patiently, it knew that the Key would come. After some time, it owner put it on her drawer. It was soon forgotten. But it didn't lose hope. It waited in the dark and cold place for The Key to come.

One chilly Christmas morning, Heart Lock opened it eyes for the first in time in so long and saw its owner face, she has changed, it didn't recognize her smile. Its owner gently rubbed its face and slowly put it around the neck of a little girl who lost it when she went snow boarding. Heart Lock was found by a man who gave it to a mild lady who cleaned it up, polished it and then put it on a pedestal in her shop.

Then one beautiful Summer day, Glistening Sun walked passed by and shone on Heart Lock. The reflection of the lock was so beautiful that it caught the eye of a gentleman.
The gentleman barged into the shop and asked for the lock.
The gentleman held up the lock, observed it, then he saw "Love". A tud on his chest confirmed him that this is the lock that he has been looking for all this while.
Heart Lock looked to the gentleman's smile and it remembered, quickly it turned its eyes to the gentleman chest and there it saw, a shiny beautiful word "Forever".
Smiling at Heart Lock, The Key said "Love, I have come to get you"

Blue is the Word

On one blue sky morning, Little Blue-Plane decided that it is time for him to go back to his home in the Blue-Sky-And-Colorful-Heaven. But having been living in the Colorful-Earth for so long, he needed some lift-me-up for his journey back. As he was looking at the Blue-Sky, the Blue-Balloons family flew by. Who else is better to give some lift-me-up if it's not Blue-Balloons?

So Blue-Balloons and Little-Blue-Plane decided to fly together. Blue-Balloons asked Blue-Plane to securely tied the Forever-Golden strings on his back while they are waiting for the Blue-Wind to pass by.

Then came the Blue-Wind. Blue-Wind smiled when he heard about Blue-Plane's plan of going home. He said, "No worries, just hold on tight, Blue-bells, you will reach home in no time". Having said that, Blue-Wind twirled his fingers, soft, breezy winds started to gather and just like he said, in no time, Blue-Plane felt that he was flying. "Thank you, Blue-Wind, I will see you soon in the Blue-home".

So, up they go, passing the clouds, laughing and sharing their stories along the way. Then, Blue-Plane looked down to the Colorful-Earth and his face turned a little bluer than usual. Blue-Ballons asked him, "Will you miss, the Earth, Little Blue-Plane?"

Little-Blue-Plane looked at Blue-Balloons and then he smiled while looking back at the Earth, "I will always miss the Colorful-Earth, but since we are all belong to Blue-Sky-and-Colorful-Heaven, I'm sure that we will meet again soon." Blue-Balloons smiled and they all joined Little-Blue-Plane looking at the Colorful-Earth going smaller and smaller. They are going home.

Down on The Earth, Flowers and Trees waved their goodbyes.

For you..

Dear Brother,

We will miss you..
Sayonara...

Amazing Grace!

Amazing Grace,
How sweet the sound
That saved a wrech like me
I was once lost but now am found
Was blind but now I see

My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, My Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood, His mercy reigns
Unending Love
Amazing Grace

I learned a very valuable lesson from my dear colleague, Wendy, today. We have to dare to proclaim God's power and God's grace. God is using him to be his vessel, he will be well to speak up about God's grace to the whole nations. God is good.

What I believed now is that if God has brought him over from Indonesia, He will continue to do His miracles for him in Singapore. That's what I believe and that's what I am going to hold on true.

So i will put him to Your Hands, Lord. You alone will do the rest for him.

Be strong, we are here at the light, go towards us and you will wake up. We are here, always.

4D3N of impulse Shopping!!

During my 3 days off starting from Monday till Wednesday (9-11 June) me, my mom, and my sisters had the chance to go to Hongkong.

It was arrays of panic phone calls to the tour agents, panic decisions making on where to go and how much to spend. The plan almost went down the drain when everything seemed to be so hard. No air tickets, no hotels, and limited processing time for the tour agents to actually booked us for something. Initially we were trying to go to Macau, but since all the doors to Macau were blocked, we tried to open the window, and true enough, The Breeze of Hongkong blew in and up we go!
We settled everything quiet fast, bought the tickets, went to Orchard to buy some necesities, changed some HK dollars, packed and little did we know its departure time!!. We departed on Sunday, 8th June on a-11 AM- flight to Hongkong, CX 714 and arrived in Hongkong at about 2.30 PM.
First Stop: Times Square, Causeway Bay. We went to eat some noodles at one restaurant that "traditionally" has always be patronaged by my family :). The noodles were not bad, and the small restaurant really gave out the "HongKong Cha Chan Teng" feels. Except, the number of Indonesian maids roaming around the area flashed us the feeling of Lucky Plaza on Sunday afternoon.

Second day: MONDAY, 9th JUNE due to the fully booked condition of the city-tour part, we opted for the tour to be on Tuesday instead. Because of this, today is FAMILY DAY!!! therefore, my aunts and cousin (thank you very very much for letting us dragged you along the never-ending-test-and-trial shoppings and walkings and accompanying us) decided to bring us for a morning Yum Cha at Times Square, and proceeded to bring us to shop at a wholesalers in one of the buildings (as you know it by now, I am very bad with names and directions).

(The Peak Tram)
After resting over a cup of self-made capuccino in the Hotel, we went to Victoria Peak (or The Peak) <太平山頂>. To reach the Peak we have to take the Peak Tram that has been in operations since 1888 and serving only high-class Europeans and government officials living at the area (before that the residents had to be carried on a sedan chair by uniformed carriers. Overlooking Hongkong, The Peak shows tourist the beauty of Hongkong Island's view as well as the Kowloon area. As the sky got darker, the view got even nicer, with lights brighting up the buildings and the harbour. The mist added some mystic beauty to the ever-famous prestigious area. I wonder, if the view was this nice during a misty day, how beautiful will it be during a clear sky?

(The view from The Peak at about 5.30 PM)

(The view from The Peak at about 7.15 PM)

When we came down, we decided to have dinner together at The Spaghetti House in The Excelsior Hotel. The food was nice, the ambience was good and the company was great. After dinner, my sisters and my cousin (thank you very much for being so sweet by accompanying us) decided to hit the stores for one more time and only decided to go back to the hotel when the time starts to hit about 11.30 PM

Third day: The City Tour by Peter Law (Mr. tour guide).
We woke up half dead at about 7.00 AM. Got ready at 7.30AM and was at the Lobby waiting for the bus to come at 7.45 AM. First Stop was the Victoria Peak (again, but this time with bus and not to high, only the middle part of the Peak for photo-taking. After that, we went to the Repulse Bay, then to the Fishing Village, and the last stop was the Flower of Hongkong before we was sent off to Ocean Park for the remaining of the day. The thing that I was very very excited about going to Ocean Park was PANDA!!!

Now presenting: Ying-Ying and Jia-Jia

After coming back to the hotel, my aunts decided to bring us for a dinner and the best part was, the dessert time!!. We managed to eat this wonderful, super-duper delicious fresh milk pudding at Yee Shun Milk Company. I had the warm fresh milk pudding with ginger. You got to try it to believe how wonderful it was!!! If you don't really fancy fresh milk taste, they have it available in chocolate flavor :) How cool is that?

So.. in the end, here are some of the things that resulted from my impulse shopping.

H2: Kimi To Itahibi

I love Crows Zero, the movie. I love Lovely Complex, the movie. I love Shinobi, the movie. Should say.. I love most of movies and doramas that are adapted from Japanese Mangas. The reason by, everything from 2D are now moving and breathing. Not to forget that every single detail things (from the same uniform, the same hair style, even the polka-dot from a girl hand bag) from the manga are brought to the live action. That is enough to show how much effort is being put by the makers.
I have to admit though, I watched H2 partly because Takayuki Yamada (CROWS ZERO, Sekai no Chusin de, Ai wo Sakebu) and Ishihara Satomi (Water boys 2, Nurse Aoi). And then.. I realized it was from a manga by Mitsuru Adachi called H2. So adding these two things up. I just adored it. Oh another reason is... Nakao Akiyoshi (Water boys 2, Brother beat).
For synopsis, as usual: http://wiki.d-addicts.com/H2. Drama Wiki will give you some interesting idea of what the dorama is about.
The drama moves in a quiet slow paced with majority of the climax surrounding baseball tournaments or high-school problems. And like most Japanese mangas or doramas, friendship plays a pivotal roles in them.
SPOILER WARNING: I love how they build up Yamada and Ishihara's relationship but not trying hard to make the relationship looks forced or too sugary sweet. Both are passive (with "Haruka" acting more active in the first place but become passiver as their relationship progress) in the relationship but everything just falls in nicely with the drama's pace. Their relationship mirrors the 4-changing-seasons in Japan. Slow to bloom in Spring, Warm breeze in the Summer, Romantic in the Fall, Keeping strong in the Winter.
But I think more emphasis should be given on how "Hiro" realizes how much he likes "Haruka"
Love the rivalry between the characters and how they show the difficulty on keeping love and friendship in balance. Acting wise, I think Ishihara Satomi is doing a good job in potraying "Haruka Koga". Nakao Akiyoshi is always and always given a role that shows how a nice boy he is when i think he can actually be given a deeper and bigger role. The director and script writer are good in bringing the awkward silences and hidden feelings in the characters and manage to close all of them well. Meanwhile, Mitsuru Sensei and his editor are wonderful as cameos in every single episodes. So, those who love sport-related dramas, slow-paced romances with strong endings, should find this doramas entertaining and engaging. Those who prefer fiesty, strong-headed ladies, cool guys with bad attitudes up-front but soft inside, i-fell-in-love-when-i-bicker-with-you type of dramas, please avoid.
I enjoyed watching the episodes and yes, Yamada Takayuki is handsome.
